ΑΠΟΚΛΕΙΣΤΙΚΟ: Το χρυσό άλμα του Μέρλου και οι μαγικές στιγμές που ακολούθησαν
Αξέχαστη θα μείνει η σημερινή μέρα για τον ελληνικό αθλητισμό με τον Αντώνη Μέρλο να κερδίζει ένα τεράστιο χρυσό μετάλλιο στο άλμα εις ύψος του παγκόσμιου πρωταθλήματος στο Τάμπερε της Φινλανδίας.
Ο Κορίνθιος αθλητής που μέχρι πέρσι γυμνάζονταν με τον Γιάννη Δαμβουνέλη και τον τελευταίο χρόνο, βρίσκεται υπό τις οδηγίες του Πέτρου Κυπριανού από τη 10η θέση του περσινού ευρωπαϊκού πρωταθλήματος των εφήβων, βρέθηκε σήμερα στην κορυφή του κόσμου κι έγινε μόλις ο δεύτερος έλληνας στην ιστορία μετά τον Ιακωβάκη (1998) που στέφθηκε παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής Ε-Ν. Ο φωτογραφικός φακός του Sportsfeed απαθανάτισε καρέ καρέ το χρυσό άλμα του παγκόσμιου Μέρλου και όλα όσα ακολούθησαν με τον 19χρονο Έλληνα να είναι ο υποκινητής όλων των πανηγυρισμών.
